For a while I've wanted to organise a Hack Day, but have been looking for something to organise it around.

Last week Reading Borough Council released details of all of their expenditure over £500. Its been put on their site as a set of spreadsheets... but I'm sure we could build something more interactive off the back of it. Open data presents a lot of interesting hack opportunities - and I like the idea of showing RBC what a bunch of talented people could do with their data within the space of a day.

So, I'm planning to talk briefly about what we could do, and test the water to see if there is enough interest.
