Thirty years ago two great things were born - Martin, and the BBC micro.

This talk will explore the history of this great machine from 1981 to
today, explore it's architecture and show just how much you can do
with a machine running at 2Mhz and with a maximum of 8 colours on
screen simultaneously.

Finally we'll explore the future of this machine and some of the
pointless things you can do with it.

Martin is the manager of the support team for Pharos, a
broadcast IT firm based in Reading. When not telling customers to turn
it off and on again he enjoys writing badly formed C code to do mostly
pointless things.
